Steven A. (Tony) Swaldi, M.D.
Dr. Swaldi received his Bachelor of Science at Texas A&M in 1987. He attended medical school at UT Southwestern in Dallas and then completed his residency in Houston, Texas at Baylor College of Medicine. He moved to Coppell, Texas in 1994 and started his family with his wife, Laura. He now has 3 amazing children: Rachael, Holly and Leo. In his free time, Dr. Swaldi enjoys playing basketball, golf, disc golf, tennis, guitar, and spending time with family and friends. He has served as a team physician for Coppell High School football for over 28 years. Dr. Swaldi has supported the athletic programs and CISD nursing staff since he started practice. Dr. Swaldi was honored to be named Coppell’s Hometown Hero in 2014.
Samantha Barrie, FNP-C
Samantha is an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Mansfield University and earned her Master of Science at the University of Pittsburgh. She holds a National Certification with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. In Samantha’s spare time, she enjoys yoga, camping but mostly spending time with her husband, Kyle, and their three daughters.
Nicole Howell, FNP-C
Nicole was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. She lives here in Coppell with her husband and is the mother of 3 children and a new daughter-in-law. She started her college career at ACU then transferred to Harding University School of Nursing in Searcy, Arkansas where she earned her BS in Nursing. After graduating, she stayed in Arkansas and worked in the ICU and Labor and Delivery for 3 years before deciding to continue her education. She earned her Masters in Nursing from Baylor University in 2005 and subsequently obtained her certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner from ANCC. She has been working in family practice since 2005 in the DFW area. Her hobbies include travel, sailing, running, hiking, golfing, reading, knitting, and being a baseball/softball mom. She also has a passion for mission work and using her abilities to serve in the medical capacity wherever she can.
Valerie Jones, PA
Valerie was born and raised south of Houston near the Texas coast. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Biology at Texas A&M University in 2007, and then attained her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies at UNT Health Science Center in Ft Worth in 2011. She has experience in family medicine and urgent care. Her passion is family medicine as it provides her the chance to care for her patients’ entire well-being, and build a rapport with them through continuity of care. She loves spending quality time with her firefighter husband, Wade, and has twin boys, two bonus sons, and one bonus daughter. She enjoys baking, cooking with Wade, and never misses an episode of Wheel of Fortune.
Jessica Smith, FNP-C
Jessica is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the AANP. She received her Associates of Nursing at Long Beach City College, where she is originally from in Southern California. She then went on to obtain her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her Masters of Nursing at Chamberlain University. Her background in nursing is in Emergency Medicine and Urgent Care, but she is passionate about providing well-rounded, ongoing care to her patients, which makes primary care a perfect fit. She enjoys educating and providing services regarding Women’s Health as well. She is married and has two young daughters whom she loves to spend time with. She enjoys horseback riding and trying new restaurants in her free time.

8am – 5:30pm CT
Lunch hours (no nurse staff):
12pm – 1:30pm CT
