Swine (H1N1) Flu

We have received the H1N1 injections as well as the H1N1 mist.  We will be targeting children ages 2 thru college age first due to the fact that they seem to be at higher risk for contracting the illness; however, it may be made available to everyone within the appropriate age ranges.   We have seen very few H1N1 cases in persons over age 40.  Swine flu mist is not recommended for anyone over age 50. 

 This vaccine is only one dose for ages 10 years old and older; children ages 2-9 should get the vaccine in two doses a month apart. Cost is for administration fee only (billable to insurance).  The vaccine itself is free.

We expect to receive additional shipments of both the Swine Flu Mist and the injectable form of the vaccine in the future, but exact dates and quantities are not known.

We will attempt to notify patients of its availibility, or you can recheck our website for the current status.

If you are in a High Priority group, try to get your shot as early as possible.

Priority Patients for Swine Flu Vaccine Include:

Children 6 months to 24 years old. 

Pregnant women

Healthcare workers

Parents or caregivers of infants.

People with chronic health problems like asthma, diabetes and heart disease.
